Tulsa police arrest teens after chase, crash

Tulsa police arrested a group of teens after a chase through the city that ended in a crash on Thursday afternoon.

Officers tried to pull over a driver near Admiral and Harvard around 3 p.m. The driver kept driving and led officers on a chase for about 10 minutes before crashing into a utility pole at Pine and Garnett.

Officers arrested one person immediately while firefighters helped get two more suspects that were pinned inside the car. A fourth suspect ran off after the crash.

After about 20 minutes officers took that suspect into custody without further incident.

One of the suspects was wearing body armor and officers found a loaded, stolen AR-10 rifle and various drugs in the car.

Two suspects are 17 years old and the other two are 14 years old. Two of them suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were taken to the hospital. The other two were immediately taken into custody.

An investigation is underway into the appropriate charges that each suspect will face in this case.
