Spring classes announced for TPD's free motorcycle skills course

Registration for the Tulsa Police Department's spring motorcycle skills course is underway.
The free course is not designed to teach a person that has never ridden, but is meant to improve a rider's skills and technique to create safer traffic environments in the city.
Topics to be covered in the course include:
Clutch Friction Zone
Proper Braking Techniques
Cone Patterns
Rules of the road
Requirements:
Some riding experience
Street Legal Motorcycle
Valid 'L' Endorsed Drivers License (Previously 'M')
Insurance
Helmet
Eye Protection
Gloves
Long Sleeve Shirt
Boots that cover Ankle
Classes will take place on the following dates and typically run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

April 20
May 11
June 8
June 22
September 14
