Free Tulsa Police motorcycle skills course classes underway


Spring classes are underway for the Tulsa Police Department's motorcycle skills course.


The class is not designed to teach a person who has never ridden, but is meant to hone a riders skills and knowledge. Some riding experience is required.


TPD Motor Officers will work with riders to teach:


  • Clutch Friction Zone

  • Proper Braking Techniques

  • Cone Patterns

  • Rules of the road

  • Requirements:

  • Street Legal Motorcycle

  • Valid 'L' Endorsed Drivers License (Previously 'M')

  • Insurance

  • Helmet

  • Eye Protection

  • Gloves

  • Long Sleeve Shirt

  • Boots that cover Ankle


The following dates are still on the current class calendar:


  • April 6, 2024

  • April 20, 2024

  • May 11, 2024

  • June 8, 2024

  • June 22, 2024

  • Sept. 14, 2024
