Dennis Larsen was officially sworn in Tuesday as the 41st Chief of Police for the Tulsa Police Department.
Mayor G.T. Bynum appointed Larsen in May and had him retake his oath Tuesday in a promotional ceremony at the Tulsa Police Training Division. Larsen has been serving as chief concurrently with Chief Wendell Franklin until July 31 when Franklin officially retires.
Larsen has been with the Tulsa Police Department for more than 45 years and mostly recently served as Deputy Chief of Police over Investigations.
