On August 5, 1973 at around 2:30 a.m. the victim was at 202 W. 28th Street North attending a reunion for the Booker T. Washington High School Class of 1958. The victim had been at a party at the VFW Hall located near the parking lot. The victim was standing on the passengers side of the vehicle when an unknown suspect fired a shot striking the victim. The victim died as a result of a gunshot wound.
