The victim was a runaway from the Tecumseh Correctional Home for girls. A friend dropped the victim off after work at the Safeway Store at 300 S. Lewis at about 1:30 a.m. on April 23, 1975. The victim advised that she was going to buy some groceries and then walk home which was nearby. On April 24, the Creek County Sheriff's Office received a call about a dead body in the area of 5600 Old Sapulpa Road. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds.
