On November 12, 1978 at around 7:45 a.m., the victim's son came by the victim's residence at 627 S. Peoria to check his well being. The victim lived on the first floor of a multi-unit apartment building. He noticed the kitchen window open. The victim was found dead with a gunshot wound. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
